BPHA supports refugees

bpha (a provider of affordable homes in partnership with local councils) has allowed us the use of two garages in the town centre, free of charge. This gives us access to much needed storage facilities.
Why is this storage is so important?
Friends of Refugees collect specialist medical aid for Syria, as well as clothing, bedding and household goods for refugees stretching from Syria to Bedford. This aid is ably distributed by our network of volunteers. Our current storage is a shared garage and an overflow facility in Elstow, which will soon be unavailable.
Tim Douglas said: “Having not one, but two garages from bpha will help us enormously, especially with the logistics of different kinds of aid destined for different refugee groups. We can’t thank bpha enough for this help. It really will make a huge difference to how much we can collect, sort and distribute to those who have left everything behind when they fled their homes.”
We are always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in joining, or can donate any items, please leave your contact details on our website, or message us at facebook.com/FOR.Bedfordshire
